If freckles were lovely, and day was night,
And measles were nice and a lie warn't a lie,
Life would be delight,
But things couldn't go right
For in such a sad plight
I wouldn't be I.
If earth was heaven, and now was hence,
And past was present, and false was true,
There might be some sense
But I'd be in suspense
For on such a pretence
You wouldn't be you.
If fear was plucky, and globes were square,
And dirt was cleanly and tears were glee
Things would seem fair,
Yet they'd all despair,
For if here was there
We wouldn't be we.

Films
I'd be lost without the weight of you two on my back. I ain't going anywhere.
I wish you were gay, you'd be much more sensitive
I just feel like I should stop thinking about it, you know? But I can't.

Treasure Hunt
Don't you want to follow the lines? Go on a treasure hunt? Drive down the roads on the creases of his jacket? As humans we can't help but find meaning where there is none, and creating beauty where at first there is none to be seen.
These pieces are by Laura Wills, an Australian artist who paints on contour and topographic maps. I love her work.

Hope for the Flowers
"What looks like you, will die, but what’s really you, will still live. Life is changed, not taken away."
This book will plant inspiration and hope in the hearts of everyone who reads it. It follows the lives of two caterpillars, Stripe and Yellow, who are facing issues. Issues of life, of death, of goals and anxiety and the metamorphosis that occurs on the path of becoming more and more yourself. Hope is the best gift you can give a good friend going through a hard time.

Ruben Ireland
Ruben Ireland makes me think of that little girl that is inside all of us who wants to get lost in the forest, pick berries, climb trees, howl at the the moon. You know, normal things. I love the way he mixes female figures with animals and nature.

How's it going up there?
I am always looking for inspiration and one place I've found it is in the photography of Rodney Smith. His photographs are beautiful and full of life and I feel that they are so different from everything else out there at the moment. Which I like. To me each and every one of the photos feel like a dream, like they all have some crazy little story like some Alice in Wonderland type of imaginative place. His work always makes me smile.
