I have expensive taste, but little money!

To me, fashion isn't what other people think when they look at you. It isn't about stereotyping yourself - girly, indie, emo etc - to me, fashion is about seeing a piece of clothing, a bag, or some jewellery and and just knowing that you have to have it. It's about taking risks, putting something on, looking in the mirror and not thinking that yes, I look the same as so and so, not thinking yes, I have the same coat as 90% of girls my age. It's looking in the mirror and thinking, I feel good. I feel special, and I feel confident. Whether you feel that way by looking the same as so and so, or by having the same coat as 90% of girls your age is up to you, so long as you feel that way.

Right now, I've been glued to Opening Ceremony's website. Their clothes are so original and pretty.

Unfortunately for me, the prices would be hefty even if it wasn't an America based company, and I didn't have to pay shipping. On the up side, Anthropologie still have their January sale on! Hopefully I'll get some money in before it ends!

Hope for the Flowers

"What looks like you, will die, but what’s really you, will still live. Life is changed, not taken away."

This book will plant inspiration and hope in the hearts of everyone who reads it. It follows the lives of two caterpillars, Stripe and Yellow, who are facing issues. Issues of life, of death, of goals and anxiety and the metamorphosis that occurs on the path of becoming more and more yourself. Hope is the best gift you can give a good friend going through a hard time.

Create a kinder world

my new years resolution is to give a compliment and/or say something nice to someone at least once a day. Whether it is just a simple ‘I like your dress’ to someone at college, or even if I just leave someone a nice message on tumblr. I’m really enjoying it, because you never know who’s day you may have brightened.

Ruben Ireland

Ruben Ireland makes me think of that little girl that is inside all of us who wants to get lost in the forest, pick berries, climb trees, howl at the the moon. You know, normal things. I love the way he mixes female figures with animals and nature.
